MELODY OF ONE / Aaron Shust Concert

On April 16, 2023, Vertical Fellowship co-produced the Melody of One Conference. The vision for this spiritually significant event came from God's Word in Ephesians 2:14-16 that says: "For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace, and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility."

In the ancient times, the hostility between Jews and Gentiles was rampant resulting in hatred, isolation, wars, and other dark and demonic manifestations. In many parts of the world, it is still that way, but Jesus came to end this hostility. Through His sacrifice on the cross, He not only paid the ransom for the sins of the world, but also established the door (John 10:7-17) to bring together his followers from all nations, ethnicities and walks of life. In Him, there is now no distinction between the Jew and Gentile, only the "one new man" in Christ.

This event was a perfect fit for our ministry as we are love to facilitate fellowship with the Father and the Son (1 John 1:3). We partnered with Comfort My People ministries to produce the Melody of One taking some deliberate steps to bring together Jewish and Gentile believers to worship Him as one! The afternoon conference session included a great discussion panel featuring Christian leaders and pastors from the United States and Israel. In the evening, we were blessed to have the American singer and song writer, Aaron Shust, and his Israeli counterpart and friend, Joshua Aaron lead us in worship. They represented God's vision of oneness in Christ leading a crowd of over 400 Jewish and Gentile believers. Some traveled from afar to participate - we had visitors from five different states.

We are so grateful for Calvary Church in Jupiter allowing us to use their beautiful facility and generously sponsoring the Melody of One event. Until next time, let the vision for "one new man" live on and multiply.

At one point during the concert the power went out and everything went

black (due to severe thunderstorms in the area). Aaron and Joshua did not

miss a beat... literally. And when the back up lights came on they used the

little unplanned break to teach the crowd a new worship song.
